Light of Dead Stars Screening

Invitation

Light of Dead Stars Screening

In this week’s Jobcast, Znore & I discussed whether it is possible to create art that transmits the Holy Fire of revelation, and doesn’t merely spread the woodworm of supercultural fantasies.

This Monday, Feb 10th, at 8:30 pm UK time, you can judge for yourself how successful I was, by attending a live-stream of the final(?) 27-minute cut of The Light of Dead Stars. (There may also be a Q & A after the screening.)

To attend, hit reply, & I will send you the Zoom link.

(NB: It is likely there will be a second screening at the same time, on Thursday, Feb 13th.)

About LODS

The film was shot with a skeleton cast & crew over the 2024 Easter weekend in Northampton and London. I wrote the script, did most of the preproduction and casting, and have now made my own edit of the footage.

The film depicts a seemingly “enlightened” young man who finds that every woman he touches dies of unknown causes. Leaving a trail of bodies behind him, he is eventually apprehended and interrogated by a police detective whose grasp on reality slowly comes unraveled in the face of inexplicable evidence.

This short “proof-of-world” edit is meant as a snapshot or preview of a potential feature-film. It depicts the first interrogation scene, with some flashbacks to previous action, including two of the young man’s victims.

The screening is free for paid subscribers. Message me by hitting reply, & I will send a link.

All others wishing to attend, either:

Subscribe for 1 month to CoJ (& message me).

Send a one-time-only payment of 8 euro via Paypal, to jasun@protonmail.com (& message me).

(If you wish to attend a Thursday screening, mention it in your message.)

Thanks for reading. I hope to see you there.
