Yahweh-as-Demiurge, Revisited
The demiurge Yahweh is a left-brain deity if ever there was one, a lawmaker and fence-builder, territorial and jealous in equal proportions. As demiurge, Yahweh is not a creator, merely an organizer. But, like the left-brain (with its over-reliance on reason), He has falsely assumed the role of all-powerful and sovereign deity. In the process, He has perverted his own function and (like the faculty of reason) made us slaves to belief. It’s important to note that Yahweh, like any transhuman entity, cannot be seen as “evil” in this regard, only as unqualified for the role and position (that of “omnipotence”) granted Him.
